  • Recommend designs for safe roads & walkways
  • Recommend guidelines for road safety
  • Promote roads with dividers
  • Pedestrian rights and safety
  • Guidelines for Emergency procedures
  • Disaster Recovery and Management Plans

  1. Do we need the technology from US for providiing for pavements? OR have we become bereft of ideas and are just churing out useless townplanners and incompetent urban planners? Who will save this damn country? It is a night mare to just think of going outeven for a walk, for there are no footpaths/pavements!!! WHerever there are, it isocupied by the hawkers, beggars, extendeds shop-keepers,home-less urchins andso on! CAnt we file a PIL in the courts demanding footpaths, walkable ones for old people?

  2. Yes someone should file a PIL for missing footpaths! Like we have Right to Education, Right to Food – in the same way we have “Right for Safe Roads” or pedestrians have “Right for Footpaths”.

Our engineers build roads – but no Footpaths. And if by mistake they make then – those to totally useless.
